New publication on epigenetic immune cell quantification in patients with inborn errors of immunity and secondary immune deficiencies.

Together with its clinical cooperation partners at the University Medical Center Freiburg, Epimune recently published important results on epigenetic immune cell quantification in patients with inborn and acquired immunodeficiencies.

Ramirez et al. were able to show that:

  • Lymphocyte subpopulations can be reliably typed by epigenetic immune cell profiling.
  • Epigenetic immune cell quantification shows high correlation with flow cytometry.

  • Dried blood spot samples yield similar results in epigenetic immune cell profiling as liquid blood samples.

These results are the outcome of a long-standing, highly successful collaboration between Epimune and the Center for Chronic Immunodeficiency (CCI) at the University Medical Center Freiburg. They represent an important step towards the routine use of Epimune's immune cell quantification tests in the clinical care of patients with a wide range of immunodeficiencies.
